Welcome from the Headteacher

As the Headteacher of Alkborough Primary School, it is a great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the staff, governors and pupils to our new school website. We will aim to continuously update our website to give you a full flavour of what life would be like for your child while they are with us.

I am motivated and honoured to be leading across a welcoming and friendly school in the heart of rural North Lincolnshire, in close proximity to the Humber Estuary. We are a small primary school and offer mixed year group classes. These have recently changed (September 2024) to include:

- Rainbow Class: Nursery (mornings only), Reception and Year 1

Within our EYFS setting we also offer a part-time nursery setting for children, from the age of 3      years old, with a qualified class teacher and Early Years Manager. We have a new intake each            term.

- Maple Class: Year 2, 3 and 4

- Oak Class: Year 5 and 6

All staff at Alkborough Primary School are highly motivated, skilled and fully committed to providing an inclusive, inspiring, challenging and exciting curriculum, which allows children to become confident and enthusiastic learners. High expectations are the norm in everything we do and we encourage children to take pride in their work and behaviour, to ensure that they are the very best that they can at all times and will be ready for the next stage in their education. We strive for all children to feel happy, safe and valued during their time with us. We believe that education should be a partnership between pupils, parents, staff and governors and that children learn more effectively when they see parents and teachers working together. Primary school is an exciting milestone and I one I hope we will do collaboratively together.

I would strongly encourage you to come and visit out school and see for yourself what a wonderful and hardworking community we have. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.

Best Wishes

Miss Ashton

Important information
Our Governing Board has been carefully reviewing its options to become an academy and to join a Multi Academy Trust (MAT). In the recent update from the Chair of Governors, we advised that part of the process was to consult with parents, carers, staff and other stakeholders, on its proposal to become an academy and join Isle Education Trust.
